Potikki’s is a unique quick service restaurant in Halifax in Nova Scotia that features Indo-Canadian menu of street foods such as Indian samosas, chaat and frankies with a Canadian twist along with fusion burgers and loaded fries, not unlike a poutine with an Indian twist. Entrepreneur Wade Bruce, a Smoke’s Poutinerie franchisee since 2013, introduced Potikki’s in early 2023 on Blowers St at Grafton St., known as Pizza Corner in downtown Halifax, to cater to an underserved QSR segment in the Atlantic region. Based on the response the concept has received, Wade launched a franchise program and is planning initial growth targeting the larger markets in Atlantic Canada. David Wilson has joined as Vice President, Franchise Development. In addition, Lacey MacDonald and Dawn MacDonald at Blueberry Commercial Real Estate have been retained to handle the site selection for the concept targeting highly visible and busy street front and open plaza locations in the 800 to 1500 square foot range.
