Both Brands Continue ON Search………

Earlier this year, JOEY Restaurants opened its third LOCAL Public Eatery in Toronto, on Adelade at York streets in the city’s Financial District.  It is the chain 15th location across Canada. The 15-year-old concept is designed as a neighbourhood gathering spot where quality people meet quality food, drinks, hospitality, and experiences.  The full-service restaurants feature a pub-style menu as well as various pub-type games, several tv screens and a laid-back atmosphere.  In addition, later in the year, a JOEY opens in the entire 17,000 square foot ground floor space at the base of the 20 King Street West tower at King and Yonge streets, also in the city’s Financial District.  It will be the chain’s sixth location in Toronto and 25th in Canada. The JOEY chain also operates ten locations in the U.S.  The upscale casual JOEY restaurants feature a globally inspired menu with unique, modern styling and atmosphere.  JOEY Restaurants continues to seek opportunities in GTA and Ottawa for both concepts and Arlin Markowitz and Teddy Taggart of CBRE Urban Retail Team are handling the search.  The JOEY units require high traffic sites, ideally corners with patio area and typically in a 6000 to 10,000 square foot range.  The LOCAL Public Eatery generally operates in 3000 to 6000 square feet.  High traffic locations in neighbourhood zones are targeted. Corner locations with patios are preferred.
