Vancouver-based Blaze Gourmet Burgers is preparing to open a new location shortly at the base of the new mixed-use Moody Yards development at Electronic Ave. at Murray St in Port Moody. The new unit will feature a dining area, patio, and offer both takeout and delivery options. Blaze Gourmet Burgers is a restaurant brand specializing in handcrafted burgers made with fresh, never-frozen Certified Angus Beef. Founded as a ghost kitchen in Mount Pleasant in 2019 by Addy Skeak, the business quickly built a following and opened its first permanent restaurant location in 2020. Blaze has since expanded its presence through locations and food-service partnerships in Vancouver, Abbotsford, including convention and event venues and a mobile unit in Port Moody. The menu selection features beef, chicken and plant-based burgers, alongside poutine, fries, salads, breakfast and weekend brunch selections. The brand offers halal, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Blaze Gourmet Burgers also provides catering for private celebrations, corporate functions and larger events, while its sister concept, Blaze Café in City Square Mall in Vancouver, introduces Indonesian coffee offerings to the brand’s food-and-beverage portfolio. The company’s website states plans for continued growth and innovations, however immediate plans have not been announced.
