In mid-March, quick casual bagel restaurant Bagels & Co opened a 1500 square foot location on SW 76th Terrace at the Modera Southeastern University in Davis in Florida and last week, the chain opened a 1300 square foot unit at the Park Plaza on N. Federal Hwy in Pompano Beach. These openings are the chain’s third and fourth locations in Florida and others are scheduled for Hollywood and the Cypress Creek areas in south Florida and in the North Tampa area shortly. The franchise chain also operates about five locations in Pennsylvania with more in the works. Introduced in 2021, Bagels & Co features a Brooklyn-style bagel baked fresh onsite daily and a menu of made-to-order sandwiches, coffee, etc. The brand emphasizes traditional bagel-making techniques combined with modern menu innovation. Its offerings include a wide variety of classic bagels—such as plain, sesame, and everything—as well as specialty flavours like rainbow and French toast, paired with house-made cream cheese ‘schmears’ in both sweet and savoury varieties. The chain’s expansion is presently focused on the Florida and Pennsylvania markets. Industry veteran Kevin Armantrout joined Bagels & Co as COO in late 2025 to lead the chain’s national expansion.
