Connor Stoilov, Founder and CEO of the Halifax-based Harvest Clean Eats chain of quick-casual restaurants, reports that five sites are currently under development, and expected to open by 2027. Introduced on Market St at Sackville St. in downtown Halifax in 2000, the farm-to-table concept features a selection of power bowls, salads, sandwiches, smoothies, along with specialty coffees. The chef- driven menu is made from scratch daily, in-house, using premium quality fresh ingredients. Franchising since late 2022, Harvest Clean Eats presently has ten locations, in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and a unit that opened in mid-2025 at Toronto’s Union Station in Ontario. In August, the chain opens its second location in Ontario, at the Scotia Plaza in Toronto’s Financial District. Then in late September, the brand comes to the Ottawa market with a location in the mixed-use 99 Metcalfe St at Laurier Ave in downtown Ottawa. Other openings will follow in October at the new Latitude 45 on Main St in Wolfville in Nova Scotia, at The Madeleine upscale mixed-use project in downtown Kingston in late October and Stoilov adds that a location has just been secured at 146 Lakeshore Rd West at Brant St in Oakville the is anticipated for December. He also notes that there are over 50 potential franchisees in the pipeline and the company continues to source franchise partners coast-to-coast. Key market at this point are Ontario, Calgary and Edmonton in Alberta and Vancouver. Presenting the chain is handling the franchising and the site selection in-house and he explains that Harvest Clean Eats requires highly visible 1200 to 1800 square foot units for the traditional units and 350 to 6000 square feet for food court locations.
