Dark Horse in Cannabis Sector……

Earlier in the week, Shiny Health & Wellness Corp. reported that Shiny Bud Inc., a subsidiary of Shiny Health, signed an asset purchase agreement with One Plant (Retail) Corp. for two stores in Ontario.  One Plant (Retail) Corp’s two retail locations include a mīhī-branded cannabis retail store in Stoney Creek and a store in Rockland.  The estimated purchase price is $1,200,000(Cdn) and the proposed closing is late July 2023.  In addition, the company reported that Meris Kott has been added to the Board of Directors of Shiny Heath & Wellness Corp.  Ms Kott’s background for over 30 years has been in investment banking and financial consultancy and she is currently the CEO of Global Wellness Strategies Inc., a wellness prospect generator with its’ focus on global wellness, psychedelics, mycology, hemp and CBD, healthcare-related target companies.  “I am humbled to join the board with such esteemed directors,” she said.  “From my vantage point, Shiny Health has a diversified retail platform strategy with dispensaries and pharmacies, a formidable team with a proven QSR track record, a strong licensee program, plus new funding partners; Shiny Health & Wellness can be considered a dark horse in the cannabis sector.”  Company also operates ShinyBud Cannabis Co., a well-established brand in Ontario with 26 corporate stores and 14 licensed stores, located in markets less saturated with cannabis retailers. And in October 2022, the company’s mīhī Health & Wellness component acquired the Cotton Mill Pharmacy in Cornwall in Eastern Ontario and at that time, stated plans of acquiring five to ten pharmacies in Ontario.
