3rd Set for Nov…………

Eat Up Canada

Eat Up CanadaIn mid-September, Eat Up Canada opened the second Playa Bowls location in Canada, a 1350 square foot unit at 197 N Queen St at The Queensway in Etobicoke. The 1350 square foot location comes just four months after the first location opened at The Well in downtown Toronto and just weeks before the third opens at Major MacKenzie at Weston Rd. in Vaughan. Scheduled to open in November, the 1200 square foot location will be the first Playa Bowls franchise in Canada. Playa Bowls is a quick service acai superfruit bowl concept featuring an extensive and unique menu that includes the flavors of acai, pitaya, green and coconut bowls, alongside oatmeal bowls, juices, smoothies, and cold brew, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Introduced on the Jersey Shore area of New Jersey in 2014, Eat Up Canada, a multi-brand restaurant development company formed by George Heos and Alex Gerzon, acquired the master franchise rights for Canada in late 2025. Heos notes that there are plans to open five to eight locations in 2027 with a focus on the Ontario and Halifax markets. Targeting high profile units in the 1200 to 1500 square foot range, Taylor Borg at Beauleigh Consulting & Brokerage Group has been retained to handle the site selection. Presently there are over 300 Playa Bowls locations across the U.S.
