In early June, Cannabis Xpress open its eighth location in the province 2420 Acadie Rd/Hwy 133 in Cap-Pele in southeast New Brunswick. Located at the intersection of Chemin Bas-Cap-Pele in an Irving Oil-anchored convenience plaza, the 400 square foot unit has about 300 square feet of retail area. It is the Toronto-based chain’s 22nd location in Ontario and New Brunswick. Cannabis Xpress is a chain of specialty cannabis and related accessory stores in smaller footprints, designed to emphasize speed and convenience with a streamline product selection. Introduced in Ontario in 2020, the stores traditionally locate in small to medium sized towns and cities that have limited or no competition. The units are generally under 1000 square feet. Owner Chris Jones explains that plans call for two or more locations yet this year.
