Last week, Studio 9 by BodyMods opened a 1243 square foot location at the CF Chinook Centre in Calgary and an 1165 square foot Studio 10 is under construction at the CF Market Mall in Calgary, scheduled to open in early October. In addition, a 1406 square foot Studio 11 is expected to open at Southgate Mall in Edmonton in early December. Operating since 2002, BodyMods is an expanding body art and piercing brand combining professional tattooing, expert piercing and curated body jewelry. The company currently operates nine studios and a kiosk in Guilford Town Centre in Surrey in British Columbia, along with a kiosk in CrossIron Mills in Rocky View in Alberta. Its tattoo artists offer a wide range of styles, from minimalist fine-line designs to larger custom creations, in comfortable, professional studio environments. BodyMods also provides professional piercing services performed to rigorous hygiene standards and using high-quality materials. Its jewelry collection emphasizes design, comfort and durability. All locations are corporately owned and operated, enabling BodyMods to maintain consistent standards, operational control and customer service across its growing network. The company continues to build its presence as a destination for personal expression and contemporary body art. For its anticipated expansion, Rene Ragazzi at EXP Commercial has been retained to handle the site selection. BodyMods is seeking 750 to 1500 square foot highly visible locations in high traffic street front locations and enclosed malls.
