Originating as a food truck concept in early 2023, the Smash Daddy opened its first permanent location on Preston St in Ottawa’s Little Italy area featuring the Wagyu and Oklahoma-style smash burgers featuring finely seared beef, melted cheddar cheese, soft buttered brioche buns, dill pickles, and a signature sauce. The fries are hand-cut and double-fried in beef tallow, for a crispy exterior and fluffy centre.
The popular family-owned quick service concept presently has five locations in Ottawa, including Little Italy, Bell’s Corners, ByWard Market, Barrhaven, and Centretown, and later this month, Smash Daddy opens its first location in Toronto. The 1441 square foot street front location at 1112 Queen St West in the Little Portugal area.
