Snore MD is a six-year-old chain of respiratory health care specialists that focus on the growing sleep apnea market. The Snore MD concept combines the latest technology in medical equipment with years of medical experience to offer unique long-term sleep and respiratory treatment. With its most recent openings, the chain numbers 21 locations in British Columbia and its first in Calgary in Alberta, at the Creekside Shopping Centre in northwest Calgary. Later in the Fall, Snore MD is scheduled to open at Guildford Village in Surrey in British Columbia and a second Calgary location, at the RioCan Shawnessy at Shawville Blvd at 162nd Ave. in Southeast Calgary, is scheduled to open in January 2024. John Chasmar of Warrington PCI Management handles the site selection for the corporately owned concept and adds that the priority is to add several more locations in Calgary and in British Columbia, a search is underway for locations in Richmond, a second Burnaby site, Vancouver’s westside and the Oakridge area. Edmonton expansion is planned for 2025. Snore MD is planning expansion at a rate of five or six locations per year over the next five years. Typically, non-competitive with other uses and generally don’t require base building upgrades, the chain generally targets better income markets. The preferred sites are grocery, drug, liquor and medical-anchored properties, generally in suburban markets. The target size is in the 700 to1200 square foot range in projects with complimentary uses. Mixed-use and streetfront locations are considered in certain markets.
