Launched as a home-based pop-up concept in 2021 featuring a limited selection of pizzas, after some temporary locations, owner Josh McIlwaine opened the brocks & mortar Mac’s Pizza restaurant in late 2022 in a former Village Pizza location on Dovercourt Rd in Toronto’s Bloorcourt Village area. The location was licensed to serve liquor, and Mac’s Pizza added a selection of wine and beer to its menu. Now established for almost four years, Mac’s Pizza is looking to expand the concept in Toronto serving the hot slices, unique whole pies, wine and beer. McIlwaine has retained Ori Grad and Christian Petronio at CHI Real Estate Group to source pickup and delivery locations in various Toronto area including Oakwood Village, the Annex, Parkdale, Kensington, the Junction, Dundas West, Roncesvalles near Queen and the UofT area. Highly visible locations in the 750 to 1000 square foot with venting, basement storage, parking and an AGCO license are required.
