Introduced in Montreal’s Verdun community in Spring 2021, Jack Le Coq is a growing quick service concept specializing in fried and grilled chicken. Featuring a retro-inspired atmosphere, the chain emphasizes locally sourced, high-quality products, including halal options. Presently the franchise chain has about a dozen locations in operation in Quebec and earlier this week, Jaime Roskies at Groupe Forum reported that a Jack Le Coq location will open in a 2500 square foot end cap in the next phase at Marché Saint-Antoine in St-Jérôme, in Montreal’s North Shore area in Fall 2027. The busy IGA Extra-anchored neighbourhood retail centre at Boul St Antoine at Hwy 158 is at a prime position at the gateway to the Laurentians and sees a strong traffic flow with over 19,000 vehicles passing daily. With Dollarama, Famliprix, Chico, A&W, Tim Hortons, etc. already in place. The new phase of development will add shared pad building in various formats. Discussions are underway for additional tenants and at this time a 2500 square foot unit remains available in the centre. Located about 65 kilometres northwest of Montreal, St-Jérôme is a rapidly growing community of approximately 50,000 residents, and projections for 6.3 percent growth be 2027.
