Later this week, Calgary-based High Tide Inc. opens a Canna Cabana recreational cannabis location in 1235 square foot former local cannabis store in a plaza at 351 Kent St. West in Lindsay in southeastern Ontario’s Kawartha Lakes region. It will be immediately followed by a 1048 square foot location at the Crown Pointe Centre at 900 Watters Rd in the Orléans community of Ottawa. These openings bring the retail-forward cannabis enterprise to 105 locations throughout Ontario. Then, the company returns to Saskatchewan to open its 14th store in Saskatchewan in a plaza at 6250 Rochdale Blvd., beside a high-traffic gas station and adjacent to a national quick-service restaurant in northwest Regina. These additions bring High Tide’s Canadian Canna Cabana store count to 232, on its way to its long-term goal of surpassing 350 locations nationwide. The Canna Cabana stores generally operate in the 1200 square foot range in various formats and Chris Wanzel and Michael Calderone at Urban Reform Realty are responsible for the site selection in Canada.
