Mary Brown’s Chicken opens a new flagship restaurant this week at The Tenor at 10 Dundas St. East in Toronto’s Sankofa Square, marking another milestone in the Canadian-owned quick-service chain’s national growth. The 2428 square foot high profile street front location was developed in partnership with former Toronto Blue Jays star José Bautista, who has collaborated with the brand over the past two years through a series of successful marketing campaigns. The opening follows the company’s recent 300th restaurant milestone in New Brunswick and reflects its continued expansion across Canada. CEO and Owner Gregory Roberts said the flagship location demonstrates how far the Newfoundland-founded brand has come while remaining committed to its Canadian heritage, quality food, and welcoming hospitality. Introduced in Newfoundland in 1969, Mary Brown’s is a growing 100-percent Canadian-owned, international franchise chain locations across Canada. The quick service restaurants operate in a range of locations, generally in 1500 to 2500 square feet. Its menu features fresh, hand-cut and hand-breaded fried chicken meals, sandwiches, tenders, etc. along with its signature ‘Taters’. Kelly Farraj and Greg Rabin at The Behar Group Realty are handling the chain’s site selection in the Greater Toronto Area.
