Located at the entrance of the Mirabel aeronautic and industrial park that employees over 5000 people, Marche Saint-Canut is a Forum-developed IGA Extra-anchored neighbourhood centre that serves a primary trade area of more than 25,000 people, 77 percent own their own homes and have an average annual household income over $104,000. In addition to the supermarket, the centre includes a Banque Nationale, a paint store, pet store and quick service restaurants. Several shared pads are to be developed on the site that would add about 40,000 square feet of leasable area to the centre. The five pads, many of which are fronting onto Rte Sir Wilfrid Laurier and its 27,000 vehicles passing daily, amount to over 34,000 square feet and will accommodate retail and restaurant uses starting at about 1500 square feet.
