Pizza Pizza Royalty Corp., which indirectly owns the Pizza Pizza and Pizza 73 Rights and Marks, released financial results today for the three months and twelve months ended in late December 2025. Royalty Pool System Sales for the quarter increased 2.2 percent to $164 million(Cdn) from $160.5 million(Cdn) in the same quarter last year. By brand, sales from the 694 Pizza Pizza restaurants in the Royalty Pool increased two percent to $140.4 million for the quarter compared to $137.7 million in the same quarter last year. Sales from the 100 Pizza 73 restaurants increased 3.3 percent to $23.6 million for the quarter compared to $22.8 million in the same quarter last year. Royalty Pool System Sales for the year increased 2.4 percent to $635.5 million from $620.6 million in the same year last year. By brand, sales from the 694 Pizza Pizza restaurants in the Royalty Pool increased 2.4 percent to $547.6 million for the year compared to $534.8 million in the same year last year. Sales from the 100 Pizza 73 restaurants increased 2.5 percent to $87.9 million for the year compared to $85.8 million in 2024. During the year, PPL opened twelve traditional and 20 non-traditional Pizza Pizza restaurants, and closed three traditional and eleven non-traditional Pizza Pizza restaurants. PPL also opened five traditional Pizza 73 restaurants and closed five Pizza 73 traditional restaurants. PPL management expects to grow its traditional restaurant network by two to three percent and continue its renovation program through 2026. Pizza Pizza continues to source units of 1000 to 1800 square feet that have the necessary venting as well as visibility, convenient access and parking. The chain targets street front and open centre locations sites near schools, arenas, metro and transit stations, grocery stores, pharmacies, etc.
