With its latest Homers Donuts location opened in Saint Eustache in Quebec in March and its first Homies Desserts opened in Scarborough in Ontario in April, the Montreal-based chain operates 17 gourmet donuts locations in Quebec and Ontario, featuring its over 30 unique flavours. And by early August, the first Homies will open in Michigan. Master franchisors for Michigan Hassan Medlej and Zakaria Mohammed are opening a 2850 square foot location at 23780 Michigan Ave in Dearborn, a suburb of Detroit, according to the What Now Detroit online news service. More franchised units are planned, particularly in Southeast Michigan markets. Inspired by the Homers animated TV series, veteran restaurateur Terry Axiotis opened the first Homers Boite a Beignes in Montreal’s NDG community in Spring 2024 and quickly followed with openings in the greater Montreal/Laval area. In late 2025, a Homie’s NYC opened at 23 Cleveland Place in Manhattan. The Homer’s/Homie’s locations open in highly visible street and plaza locations with convenient access in the 1500 to 2000 square foot.
