Grind Hamburgers is an Ontario-based burger restaurant chain focused on fresh, made-to-order food and generous portions. Established in 2019, Dmitri Kyriakoulias introduced the quick casual concept featuring six-ounce beef patties from fresh-ground chuck, fresh brioche buns, fresh toppings and fresh-cut fries. Its menu extends beyond hamburgers to include cheeseburgers, bacon-topped Banquet Burgers, crispy and grilled chicken sandwiches, veggie and black-bean burgers, steak sandwiches, hot dogs, poutine, sides and hand-spun milkshakes. The old school customizable burger concept currently operates restaurants in Georgetown and Stoney Creek in Southern Ontario, and a 600 square foot unit is opening in early September at 17 Tannery St, south of Queen St South in the Streetsville area in Mississauga. Spokesman Mukund Patel reports that the restaurants are currently corporately owned and the chain is now offering franchise opportunities. With plans for two more locations this year, Grind Hamburgers is seeking highly visible units in the 900 to 1300 square foot range in plazas and units with parking. Markets of 30,000 people are targeted.
