For its second quarter that ended in late June 2026, Aegis Brands Inc. reported that system sales decreased 2.1 percent to $34.6 million and same store sales decreased 3.9 percent compared to last year. Year-to-date, system sales increased 1.2 percent to $66.2 million and same store sales decreased 1.5 percent compared to last year. Aegis Brands owns and operates the St. Louis Bar & Grill brand and explains that the second quarter decline in sales was impacted by the timing of the company’s annual Wingsanity promotion which benefited sales in the second quarter of 2025 but will run in the third quarter of 2026. Excluding this timing difference, sales remained consistent. “Our second quarter results demonstrate the resilience of the St. Louis business and the benefits of the operational initiatives undertaken over the past year,” said Anthony Longo, Chairman of Aegis Brands. “While the timing of our Wingsanity promotion affected year-over-year sales comparisons during the quarter, the underlying business remained healthy, reflected in improved profitability and increased cash generation.” Aegis enters the second half of 2026 with a simplified business, prioritizing strengthening the St. Louis Bar & Grill brand. Presently there are over 80 locations across Canada and later in August, a 3175 square foot St Louis Bar & Grill opens an end cap unit at the Northbridge Business Centre on Northfield Dr in Waterloo in southern Ontario and in September, the chain opens a 3717 square foot location with exterior access at Station Mall in Sault Ste Marie in Northern Ontario. Introduced in 1992 in Toronto featuring its signature wings, fries, and garlic dill sauce, the St Louis franchise chain locates in highly visible 2200 to 3500 square foot locations. The chain is seeking franchisees in markets all across the country. In addition to the St Louis Bar & Grill brand, Aegis also holds the master franchise for the Sweet Jesus ice cream brand in Canada.
