Planet Fitness licensee, Taymax Group reports that in the Fall, it will be opening an 18,000 square foot fitness location at 70 First Lake Dr in Lower Sackville, a suburban community about 25-kilometres north of Halifax in Nova Scotia. The Lower Sackville club will join existing Planet Fitness locations in Halifax and Dartmouth, marking the brand’s third location in the Halifax area. Other locations across Atlantic Canada include Moncton and Saint John in New Brunswick, and St. John’s in Newfoundland. The new Lower Sackville club will offer a wide variety of cardio, strength and functional training equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, rowers, free weights, Smith machines and cable towers, as well as a dedicated functional training area and free fitness training included with membership. The club will also feature a PF Black Card Spa, where PF Black Card members can access premium amenities such as HydroMassage, massage chairs, tanning and Total Body Enhancement. Planet Fitness is one of the largest and fastest-growing franchisors and operators of fitness centers in the world with over 2900 clubs. Taymax Group is a franchisee of Planet Fitness that operates over 160 health clubs in the U.S., Ontario and Atlantic Canada.
