Mon Secret Gourmand is a Brossard, Québec-based pastry shop concept known for its refined European-inspired desserts and unique trompe-l’œil pastry, a discipline where cakes and entremets are designed to look exactly like something else, a fruit, an everyday object, or even a savory dish. Founded in 2019, Meriem Aloui and Anis Nouira opened the popular pastry shop in the Centre D’Achats Seville plaza on Boul de Rome in Brossard in Montreal’s South Shore. Featuring its elegant presentation, high-quality ingredients and a balance of classic French techniques with modern creativity, in mid-2025, it opened a pop-up location on the second level of the Holt Renfrew Ogilvy in downtown Montreal and later in the Spring, Mon Secret Gourmand is reported to be opening in Royalmount in Montreal’s Mont-Royal. Mon Secret Gourmand is now planning to open twelve locations in Quebec featuring its premium pastries, cakes, viennoiseries, and specialty confections crafted to appeal to both everyday customers and special-occasion clientele. The company has retained Manon Larose and Jeremie Roy at Oberfeld Snowcap to handle the site selection. The chain is particularly interested in the Laval and St Bruno markets and other high-end neighbourhoods. The size required is in the 850 to 1000 square foot range.
