Later in the Spring, the Phoenix, Arizona-based Aqua Tots Swim Schools will open its seventh location in Ontario at a 6238 square foot location at the RioCan Durham centre at Kingston Rd East and Salem Rd in Ajax in eastern GTA. In addition, the chain is also opening its first location in Quebec, an 8432 square foot location at the Carrefour Don Quichotte in Ile Perrot, an off-island suburb just west of Montreal. With more than 140 locations worldwide, Aqua Tots Swim Schools is one of the largest swim school franchises providing lessons for children from infants up to twelve years in its year-round indoor facilities. Operating since 1991, and in Canada since 2017, the chain is currently operating in the GTA and Greater Ottawa Area and seeking sites in Ontario in Oakville, Milton, Georgetown, and Hamilton. The franchise sources space in retail orientated plazas with surface parking, minimum 14-foot high ceiling heights, and minimal columns. Open areas in the 6500 to 9000 square foot range are required.
