In late July, Franchisees Amit Rabari and Hardipkumar Patel opened the 35th Pizza Pizza restaurant in British Columbia in a new plaza at 2800 10th Ave. SW/TransCanada Hwy, across from Walmart, in Salmon Arm in the Southern Interior region. Founded in 1967, the Toronto-based quick service takeout and delivery chain entered the British Columbia market in Fall 2018 with its first location in New Westminster. In addition to over 725 Pizza Pizza restaurants across Canada, the franchise company also operates the Pizza 73 quick service chain with about 100 locations in the western provinces that was acquired in 2007. The Pizza Pizza franchise restaurants traditionally locate in open plaza and street front locations that offer strong visibility and convenient access. The size is generally in the 1200 to 1500 square foot range.
