Over the weekend, Supplement King launched its first Supplement King Fuel Bar at its Bedford Larry Uteck location on Peakview Way in Halifax, introducing a new functional beverage concept focused on convenient nutrition and wellness. The Fuel Bar features four signature categories designed to support hydration, recovery, fitness, and everyday wellness. Premium Fuel protein shakes are made with a frozen yogurt base and contain more than 33 grams of protein, while Hydration Fuel slushies provide low-calorie, sugar-free BCAA and EAA drinks aimed at hydration and recovery. The menu also includes Clear Fuel protein whips and Superfuel Whips, which combine clear protein with greens in a refreshing frozen format. President Roger King explained that the concept was created to deliver a more engaging and convenient wellness experience that extends beyond traditional supplement retail. Following the Halifax launch, Supplement King plans to expand the Fuel Bar concept to twelve more Supplement King locations across Canada by the end of July and include the feature in 20 new store openings planned before the end of the year. Introduced in Halifax in 2000, Supplement King is a leading specialty retailer of sports nutrition and wellness products, with over 125 locations from coast to coast. The brand has built a reputation for offering a wide assortment of premium supplements, vitamins, performance nutrition, and health essentials tailored to athletes, fitness enthusiasts, and everyday consumers alike. Supplement King continues to maintain its standard 1200 to 1400 square foot floor plan, targeting anchored by gym and grocery uses. National Director of Leasing Adam Conter heads up the chain’s real estate search and has retained Ryan McGrath of Streetscape Retail to handle the site selection in Ontario and Brandon Sibal of Sitings Realty represents the brand in British Columbia.
