Recreational cannabis concept Sessions has just opened its second location in Brantford, a 1520 square foot inline unit at the Colborne Common in the West Brant neighbouthood. With about 50 locations now in operations in Ontario, the franchise chain continues to expand, bringing the established identity into new communities. The chain has opened about four locations this year and earlier in the year, President and CEO Darryl Allen states that there are several openings planned over the coming 18 months, with ten of them falling in 2026. Currently there are openings in the works in Amherstburg, Coverdale in Cobourg, Kitchener and Thorndale. Launched in Collingwood in late 2019, the Sessions stores feature a broad curated range of cannabis products for the seasoned connoisseur or the curious newcomer, all from established growers. There is also a selection of related merchandise available. In addition to sourcing franchise operators, Sessions continues to explore locations throughout the province. Sessions locations are generally in the 1200 to 2000 square foot high traffic sites with strong co-tenancies, good access, visibility, parking and signage.
