In early June, Australian premium furniture retailer and manufacturer King Living opened its first showroom in Quebec. The 11,000 square foot unit is at Quartier DIX30 in Brossard in Montreal’s South Shore. Founded in Sydney in Australia in 1977 by David King, the company has grown into an internationally respected brand with over 40 showrooms in eight countries. In Canada, the chain is seeking opportunities in the Ottawa area, Mississauga and locations in the Montreal area, including Laval and Griffintown. The chain also has three locations in the U.S., in Costa Mesa in California, Chicago and in Portland and a search is underway for more California locations. The company specializes in contemporary furniture, including modular sofas, dining collections, beds, outdoor furnishings, and home office solutions. King Living is particularly known for its adaptable furniture systems, engineered steel frames, and patented design features that emphasize durability, comfort, and flexibility.
