Earlier in Spring 2026, Jolly Bubble, the family-entertainment brand specializing in indoor playgrounds designed for children and families, opened a 13,000 square foot location at the SmartCentres Westridge in Vaughan. Then in mid-August, the franchise concept opened a 6700 square foot location on Marketplace Ave in Chapman Mills Marketplace in Ottawa’s Barrhaven community. With locations also in Markham, North York and Whitby in Ontario and one in Richmond in British Columbia, the chain counts six locations in Canada with plans for more in Canada and the United States. Co-founder and COO Niki Hao Chen introduced the Jolly Bubble brand in mid-2023 in Markham focusing on providing a safe, clean, active, and enjoyable environment where children can play, socialize, and explore. Its facilities feature themed play zones and are complemented by birthday parties, events, school trips, and other family-oriented activities. Presently, a search is underway in the South Edmonton, Sherwood Park and St Albert markets in Alberta for suitable 5000 to 10,000 square foot locations with at least 15-foot ceiling height for Jolly Bubble. Brandon Rosser at Cushman & Wakefield Edmonton has been retained to handle the search. Bahareh Tabar and Mike Betel at Cushman & Wakefield in Toronto are responsible for the Jolly Bubble search across Canada. In addition to its Canadian growth, earlier in the Summer, Jolly Bubble open its first and largest location in Yantai in China. The 75,000 square foot unit opened in the Yantai Bay/Bajiao Bay International Convention & Exhibition Center. These recent developments highlight the company’s rapid growth and increasing public profile as the franchise chain continues its search.
