Another in the Northern Alberta Area……….

Last week, Leo’s Hospitality Management Group opened its 30th Leopold’s Tavern and its eleventh in Alberta. The 2520 square foot unit with indoor seating for about 120 and about 60 on the outdoor patio is at the SouthPointe shopping centre at highways 21 and 15 in Fort Saskatchewan, a community located about 40 kilometres northeast of Edmonton. Leopold’s Tavern was introduced in Regina in early 2013 on Albert St. near Leopold Cres. in the downtown area as an unassuming local meeting place with a classic juke box dive bar atmosphere, a full bar-style menu of homemade comfort foods along with local, domestic and craft beers. The Canadian-owned chain of restaurant/pubs presently counts nine locations in Saskatchewan, seven in Manitoba, three in British Columbia with the eleven in Alberta. The restaurant/pubs generally locate in highly visible end cap units in the 3000 square foot range with patios. The company targets densely populated suburban markets in which it can establish itself as ‘the neighbourhood pub/watering hole’.
