Earlier in October, the gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies entered the Quebec market with an inline location at 8900 Leduc Blvd at the Quartier DIX30 in Brossard in Montreal’s South Shore area. The franchisees are Andy and Murad Al Hassan. Recognized in the specialty dessert and bakery segment with its signature pink packaging and open-kitchen concept, the chain features its oversized, freshly baked cookies and rotating weekly menu of specialty flavours. Introduced in Lindon in Utah in 2017, Crumbl Cookies currently has over 1000 locations across the U.S. In Spring 2023, the brand entered the Canadian market with a location in Edmonton and currently there are over 30 locations from Nova Scotia to British Columbia. Crumbl Cookies generally targets established retail nodes and open centres in higher income neighbourhoods. Highly visible units are ranging from about 1500 square feet up to about 2500 square feet in grocery-anchored centre. QSR co-tenancies are preferred.
