Molly Tea is an international oriental tea franchise that features a menu of unique jasmine-inspired fresh milk teas, whipped cream teas, oat milk teas, etc. Originating in Shenzhen in China in 2021, the franchise chain entered the North American market in early 2024 with a location in Flushing in New York City. In late November 2024, the chain entered the Canadian market with an 800 square foot location at 604 Yonge St, south of Bloor St. in downtown Toronto. Now, with three locations in the Greater Toronto Area and one in Edmonton, last weekend, Molly Tea Canada opened its first location in British Columbia in the Union Square Shopping Centre in Richmond. Expansion is planned and the company reports that a fourth location in the GTA, in North York, is in the works. The chain has over 2000 locations globally and about 15 locations in the U.S. and later this week, it opens its first location in Maryland in the Twinbrook Quarter in Rockville.
