Over the weekend, the Gabby’s Kitchen + Bar family-owned restaurant and sports-bar chain opened its 19th location in Toronto’s Waterfront area. Located at 15 Queens Quay East in the Tower on the Lake, the 10,000 square foot location with patio, replaces the former NBA-themed Courtside Restaurant. The new sports bar will include TVs throughout the restaurant as well as a a large screen tuned to local games, Video games, about 14 draft taps and craft cocktails along with a full service menu that features more than 50 items, emphasizing fresh, made-from-scratch pub favourites such as chicken wings, beer-battered fish and chips, burgers, chicken tenders, fresh-cut fries and poutine. Founded by a local Toronto family in 1989, the Gabby’s brand has grown into a neighbourhood dining institution, with locations across the GTA that combine casual dining with a lively sports-bar atmosphere. Part of the Urban Dining Group, the franchise chain focuses on the Ontario market.
