Introduced in the late 1980s in Minton in Ontario and rebranded in 1999, WingsUp! is a quick service restaurant chain known for chicken wings, comfort food, and a strong focus on takeout, delivery, and catering. The menu emphasizes 100 percent fresh, never frozen chicken, with wings prepared using its own batter and 18 sauce or seasoning flavours. The selection also includes boneless chicken bites, sandwiches, appetizers, greens, and hot sides, making it more than just a wing specialist. Acquired by President, CEO Darren Czarnogorski in 2004, the franchise chain currently has about 40 locations, the majority being in Ontario, and in Alberta and Vancouver. Presently, Christian Petronio and Ori Grad of CHI Real Estate Group are seeking locations in the Brampton and Mississauga markets on behalf of a WingsUp! franchisee. Units in the 1000 to 1500 square foot range in busy street front and plaza locations are targeted and second-generation locations with existing commercial venting or built-out sites are preferred.
