Coffee & Sundaes for Commuters…………

Second Cup Café has just opened its latest location at the Union Station Bus Terminal in the heart of downtown Toronto.  Located on the southeast corner of the terminal and accessible from Lake Shore Blvd, the 1810 square foot coffee café is its 23rd location that includes its Chocolato menu of soft serve, dips and sundaes. Beyond beverages, Second Cup’s food menu and partnership with Chocolato will provide commuters and Ontario travelers boarding or disembarking from trips to Montreal, Washington, New York, Northern Ontario, etc. with food and sweet treats to complement their drink, making it a one-stop shop to fill multiple cravings for customers on-the-go.  Both being part of the Foodtastic group of restaurants, in July, the first Chocolato/Second Cup combo concept opened at the Mississauga Marketplace on Hurontario St in Mississauga in an existing 1855 square foot Second Cup in a shared pad in the project.  At that time, Simon Caspi, Foodtastic’s Vice President, Franchising and Development, noted that there were several Chocolato/Second Cup conversions planned. Currently there are 181 Second Cup locations across Canada, traditionally in the 400 to 1500 square foot range.  Robert Longtin, Foodtartic’s Vice President, Real Estate, is handling the company’s real estate search.
