In mid-2021, Florida Franchisee David Caruso opened the first DalMoros Fresh Pasta To Go in the United States. The 940 square foot quick service location opened at 653 Central Ave. in St Petersburg in Florida’s Tampa Bay area. Last weekend, Caruso and his team opened their fourth location in Florida at 439 E. Atlantic Ave. in Delray Beach. The 400-square foot street front includes outdoor seating and a view of DalMoros signature fresh pasta machine in the window making fresh pastas all day. The chain’s first on Florida’s East Coast, Caruso is preparing to open the next location, a 1436 square foot street front location at 400 Clematis St in West Palm Beach, later in the Fall. A unit is also scheduled for downtown Orlando in Summer 2024 and plans call for more, including other U.S. markets. Introduced in 2012 by Chef Gabriele Dal Moro in Venice in Italy, the quick service, to-go concept features a choice of several freshly made pastas and artisan sauces ranging from a vegetarian sauce to a halal meat sauce along with many limited-time specialty sauces, all served in convenient to-go packaging. In 2018, the franchise concept entered the Canadian market with a street front location on Yonge St., just south of Bloor St. in downtown Toronto. In 2019, more locations opened in greater Toronto and in the Byward Market in Ottawa. The company continues its search for franchisees in Canada and Robert Weinberg and Braydon Bumpus at Oberfeld Snowcap handles the site selection in Ontario for the company. Highly visible street front locations in the 900 to 1100 square foot range are of most interest. In addition to locations in Italy, Canada and now, the United States, Dal Moro’s has locations in Spain and openings are scheduled for Singapore and Barcelona.
