Later in 2024, Jason and Amber Akeson are opening the Red Tomato Pies quick service pizza restaurant in Kelowna in British Columbia. At about 1600 square foot location is at 401 Glenmore Rd. The chain is also expected to open a second location in Kamloops later this year and three more units are opening in the Okanagan. Introduced in 2010 in Williams Lake in BC’s Central Interior Region, Red Tomato Pies offers a wide selection of pizza crusts, classic and unique combinations, as well as vegetarian. Currently the franchise chain operates about eight locations with plans for more.
