
Later this week, the health-focused Healthy Planet opens an 11,000 square foot store in a plaza at 1510 North Service Rd, east of Brant St in the Burlington community, west of Toronto. It will be quickly followed by a 12,800 square foot location on Yonge St, just north of Eglinton Ave. in mid-town Toronto later in June and a location at 3609 Sheppard Ave East at Birchmount Ave. in Scarborough in late Summer. Bringing it to over 45 stores, the over 30-year-old chain offers one of the widest selections of health products in the country, carrying vitamins, dietary supplements, sports nutrition, natural beauty and eco-friendly home goods, healthy foods, organic groceries, and pet wellness items. Each store typically has trained staff to help customers with product choices. The brand continues to source opportunities and Eli Vladimirsky at Value Insight Realty is handling the site selection in Ontario. He notes that the chain operates in units of 8,000 to 15,000 square feet in urban streetfront locations, mixed-use projects, suburban plazas and freestanding pads.
