Introduced in San Antonio in Texas in 1952, Church’s Texas Chicken has become one of the largest quick service chicken restaurant chains in the world with over 1500 locations in more than 24 countries.  The chain entered the Canadian market, in Vancouver in the late 1970s and presently there are over 60 restaurants in Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia.  The franchise chain continues to source expansion opportunities in Canada, one of its strongest markets, seeking experienced QSR investors.  The chain operates in a flexible footprint, generally highly visible endcaps and standalone locations in an 1000 to 2200 square foot range.  Busy commercial and residential nodes and shopping centres are required.  Drive-thru opportunities are of particular interest, as are sites in proximity to schools and places of worship.  Church’s Texas Chicken specializes in a Southern-style hand-battered fried chicken made in small batches along with other traditional Southern fare including made-from-scratch honey-butter biscuits, and classic home-style sides.
