Paris Baguette has celebrated a dual milestone in their North American expansion with the opening of their 300th U.S. café, which is also their first-ever U.S. airport café. Now open in Terminal C at the Philadelphia International Airport, the café is part of the company’s strategy to bring the neighborhood bakery café experience to high-traffic, non-traditional venues. The 300th U.S. café opening follows a year of strong growth in which the brand opened 77 new cafés and awarded another 300 agreements for future development. Currently, Paris Baguette has over 600 total cafés in various stages of development, and momentum is only building, keeping them firmly on track to reach 1,000 U.S. cafés by 2030. Flying Dust First Nations and the Municipality of Meadow Lake in northwest Saskatchewan last week broke ground on a multiple building commercial development that will include a future hotel, offices and retail; space on former railway land at Railway Ave. in Meadow Lake. The first section of Oakridge Park in Vancouver opens this week. One of Vancouver’s largest developments, the $6.5-billion mixed-use project includes a mall, residential towers, office space and a public park. About 650,000 square feet of retail space along with about 1,400 residential units and 720,000 square feet of office space opens this week.
