Introduced in Edmonton in 1976, Mr. Lube + Tires is a Canadian automotive service chain that pioneered the quick-lube concept specializing in fast, convenient, drive-through vehicle maintenance. Featuring its no-appointment oil changes while customers waited, the Canadian-owned and operated chain has approximately 185 locations across Canada and has expanded well beyond its original oil-change focus. Services now include tire sales and installation, tire repair, spark plugs and a broad range of preventative maintenance and light mechanical services. Mr. Lube + Tires expands primarily through franchising and continues to grow its national footprint, supported by a well-established brand and strong consumer recognition. Bart Wysokinski, Director, Real Estate Development, explained that the chain is currently exploring all markets in Canada that it is not already in. The company typically sources markets with populations of over 30,000 for new builds and 20,000 for existing buildings. The building requirement is approximately 2400 square feet and suitable properties must have enough site area to accommodate stacking lanes and adequate egress from the site.
