Earlier in the week, Marble Slab Creamery Canada announced the return of its Tasty Creations Contest, giving ice cream lovers across the country the chance to win free ice cream for an entire year. From July 1 to July 31, 2026, customers are invited to dream up their most imaginative cone, choosing a favourite ice cream flavour and handpicking the perfect mix-ins. The grand prize winner will take home a year’s worth of ice cream, along with an exclusive Marble Slab Swag Box. “Every year, our guests amaze us with the creativity they bring to the slab,” said Cam Inglis, President at Marble Slab Creamery. “The Tasty Creations Contest is our way of celebrating that imagination and there’s no sweeter reward than a whole year of free ice cream and seeing your very own creation featured in our shops from coast to coast.” Marble Slab Creamery is a premium, small-batch ice cream concept with unlimited mix-ins and a unique frozen slab/mix-in technique concept. Originating in Texas in the early 1980s and in Canada since 2003, it now operates over 100 locations across Canada with several locations in the works. Director of Marketing & Operations Sera Corazello notes that several locations in Ontario, in Waterloo, London, Brampton, Brantford, Mississauga and Windsor, are opening shortly, along with locations in Sherwood Park, Calgary and Chestermere in Alberta and in British Columbia in Kelowna and Abbotsford. “We also have several new locations in the pipeline and are finalizing sites now,” she added. “We’re actively pursuing growth across Canada with no restrictions on region at this time, with strong interest from franchise partners who share our passion for handcrafted, made-to-order treats.” Each of the Marble Slab locations offers the popular personalized, small-batch ice cream mixed with fruits, nuts, candies and toppings on a frozen marble slab in front of the customer. The locations also offer custom ice cream half litres and litres, ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream cupcakes and ice cream crumbles to take home. In 2015, Inglis launched the Poko Popcorn, a gourmet, small batch flavored popcorn concept that has been incorporated into each of the Marble Slab Creamery locations. The Marble Slab Creamery locations are generally in a 700 to 1200 square foot range in high traffic plazas, lifestyle centres, open centres and highly visible street front units.
