In addition to relaunching the Zellers brand, Fairweather Group is also reestablishing its Les Ailes de la Mode brand to the Quebec market with a new flagship concept at Promenades St-Bruno in Montreal’s South Shore that opened in May. The mid-range department store format with a blend of fashion, accessories and lifestyle merchandise opened in the 66,500 square foot unit on the first level. The opening marks the retailer’s first step in its revival strategy and a second location is scheduled to open in the Summer at Galeries de la Capitale in Quebec City. Also in a former Bay location, the unit is 79,600 square feet. With plans to reintroduce the iconic Quebec fashion banner to a new generation of shoppers, the company continues to seek anchor tenant opportunities in Quebec.
