IKEA Canada will open its first compact store format in Canada on September 29, 2026, at White Oaks Mall in London in Southwestern Ontario. The approximately 43,000 square foot store is designed for convenient visits and will offer more than 2,500 everyday essentials and seasonal items. Customers will also find room displays, sustainable home solutions, and around 400 furniture items available for immediate purchase and takeaway from the self-serve warehouse. The location will also feature a selection of Swedish food, including IKEA’s famous meatballs. The new store is intended to make IKEA more accessible while strengthening the company’s omnichannel shopping experience. Customers needing help with complex projects, such as kitchen planning, can continue using the IKEA Plan and order point on Wonderland Rd. The existing London Pick-up location on Wilton Grove Rd will also remain open. IKEA Canada is part of Ingka Group, which operates 574 IKEA stores in 31 countries, including 15 stores and 13 Plan and order points in Canada.
