The upscale Damara Day Spa & Medical Aesthetics spa and wellness brand was introduced in 2007 at the Delta Regina Hotel in downtown Regina offering a wide range of spa, massage, esthetics and medical aesthetics services, complemented by professional skincare products and gift card programs. Founder Darlene Hincks has grown the franchise concept and presently there are 18 locations across Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia in leading hotels, resorts and casino properties. Damara Day Spa continues to seek opportunities across the country and has retained Joel Friedman at JSF Franchise Group Inc. to handle the search for franchisees. In addition, the chain is also seeking suitable sites across the country and has retained Mila Kuzmicka at Southbrook Business Development Group to secure sites. The preferred locations include street-front locations of 1,800 square feet or more. Existing spa or medical laser clinics that are available for conversion are considered. In hotel locations, the chain can work with spaces as small as 900 square feet, although the ideal footprint is approximately 1,800 square feet. The company is also able to accommodate much larger locations. Its largest operating spa is approximately 16,000 square feet, giving Damara Day Spa the flexibility to adapt to a range of opportunities.
