In late Summer, a group of entrepreneurs led by Dominique Cote opened the first Poutine & Cie, a new 500 square foot quick service concept in the new Espace Bouffe Urbain food hall and entertainment area at Fleur de Lys shopping centre in Quebec City. The Poutine et Cie menu features the iconic poutine with choices inspired by global tastes. Various poutine will feature Mexican, Japanese, Italian, Jamaican, etc. distinctive flavors, using fresh local ingredients. With the opening of the first location, the principals have launched an expansion program with initial plans to add locations across the Quebec City region. Isabelle Brault at Trium Immobilier has been retained to handle the site selection across the province targeting highly visible sites ranging from 500 to 1500 square feet. Standard food service infrastructure is required, including ventilation, water, electrical, gas lines, etc. Prime locations in food courts or high-density areas with heavy daily foot traffic are targeted.
