Later this week, independent movie theatre operator Ciné Starz Cinemas opens its latest Deluxe location in Montreal’s St Leonard neighbourhood. The theatre marks the fourth cinema acquisition in the past year for Ciné Starz Cinemas as it accelerates its expansion across Québec and Ontario. Located at 5940 Bd des Grandes-Prairies at Bd Lacordaire, CinéStarz Deluxe Lacordaire is currently renovating with plans to include luxurious fully reclining seats with extended footrests, state-of-the-art screens and sound, new food options, and a top-of-the-line arcade, to open on May 1, 2026, just in time for the Summer blockbuster movie season. Established over two decades ago, it is the ninth theatre complex in Quebec and Ontario in the Ciné Starz chain. This most recent expansion follows the acquisitions and renovations of three former movie theatres last year in Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Longueuil, and Greenfield Park in the Greater Montreal Area.
