Introduced 99 years ago by Nate Tepperman, the Windsor, Ontario-based Tepperman’s has become one of the largest independent home furnishings stores in Canada and in May 2024, the chain opens its sevenths store and outlet, a 64,000 square foot location at 399 Vansickle Rd. in St Catharines. The former freestanding Home Outfitters and Designer Depot location is at the SmartCentres St Catharines West project. The family-owned Tepperman’s features the recognized values and brand names in furniture, mattresses, appliances, and electronics at its seven stores and outlet in southwestern Ontario. The stores are generally in a 40,000 to 70,000 square foot range and Don Gregor and Jane Gregor at Aurora Realty Consultants handle the chain’s real estate requirements in Ontario.
