In early July, franchisee Vishal Lall opened his ninth Master Mechanic location, a 6541 square foot unit at 1033 John Counter Blvd in Kingston in southeastern Ontario. And it was followed in late July by a 6000 square foot location at 603 Third Line East in Sault Ste Marie in Northern Ontario. The franchisee for Sault Ste Marie is Inder Sandhu. Senior real estate manager James Jenkins adds that other locations, in Orillia and Lindsay in Ontario and in Calgary in Alberta, are also opening shortly, bringing the chain to over 60 locations across Ontario and in Alberta. Jenkins adds that the 43-year-old chain of locally owned and operated shops that provide a wide range of automotive services ranging from complete vehicle repairs to regular maintenance and complex diagnostics, continues to source locations and franchisees. Part of the Averine Partners, a Division of Omnigence, Master Mechanic locations are generally in the 3000 to 6000 square foot range, ideally with six to eight garage bay doors. End caps, inline and freestanding sites, as well as build-to-suit and existing spaces are targeted.
