Umbrella Burger is an Ottawa-based quick service burger concept that was launched as a pop-up quick service concept at Umbrella Bar at Dow’s Lake in Ottawa during the Covid lockdown. As a result of the popularity of its smash burgers, fried chicken sandwiches and fries menu, in late 2022, the first permanent Umbrella Burger opened on Preston St in Ottawa’s Little Italy area featuring its generous portions, crispy-edged burgers and casual, neighbourhood-oriented atmosphere. Then, in early 2025, a second Umbrella Burger location opened on Ogilvie Rd. in the Gloucester area in east Ottawa. The chain has just announced on its social media that a third location is opening next month at 352 Richmond St in the upscale Westboro area in west Ottawa.
