‘Pizza Corners’ to Nanaimo……..

‘Pizza Corners’ to Nanaimo……..Later this Summer, warm Maritime hospitality and the comforting cuisine of Halifax will arrive on Vancouver Island. Blowers & Grafton, the casual Maritime-themed concept named for the Blowers and Grafton streets, iconic ‘Pizza Corners’ in Halifax is opening its first location in British Columbia at The Village at stlilnup in Nanaimo, an oceanfront village of shops and services owned and operated by Snuneymuxw First Nation.  The location at 1840 Stewart Ave., near the Departure Bay Ferry Terminal, will feature its authentic Halifax street food, ranging from donairs and garlic fingers to clams & chips and mini-lobster rolls, even pizzas made with Pictou County sauce, all with the East Coast hospitality. Josh Robinson along with Tam and Samim Aminzadah opened the first Blowers & Grafton in Calgary’s Bridgeland community in 2017. The chain presently numbers ten locations in Alberta. The growing full-service chain targets 5000 to 6500 square foot pad locations with large patios and visibility. With a preference for conversions, the chain will also consider new-build situations for the right market and/or location.
